The People’s Free Healing Clinic

This is a leaderless organization promoting a better world where we take care of each other when we have more than we need- including energy, expertise, and time. Our focus is currently on low income BIPOC and Trans people in the Milwaukee area who would benefit from receiving regular alternative healing care. Please reach out below!

Upcoming Free Events

Community Sound Bath

Sunday, April 7th from 3pm - 4pm at Milwaukee Community Acupuncture in Bayview

Participants will be relaxing in a circle of recliners with pillows and blankets. In the center of the circle a healing sound practitioner will utilize gongs, Tibetan singing bowls, bells, and guided meditation to create a transformative collective experience for all who are present.

Sound baths use rhythm and frequencies to shift our brainwaves into a calmer more meditative state. From this place of passive participatory reception, we can open up our body and activate our soul's innate sense of safety and wellbeing.

Space is limited, so please sign up right here to demonstrate your interest and we will email you to confirm your spot and share location details.

Upcoming Peoples Free Healing Pop-up clinics

TBA via email- RNC week- citywide

Become a Client of the Clinic

We are seeking Milwaukee people who identify as black, indigenous, trans and/or low income to become clients of the Free People’s Healing Clinic, which will link volunteering healers with people in need of support. You qualify to attend a session at the free clinic if you cannot afford to pay for regular bodywork/counseling/spiritual guidance and this would be helpful for you on your wellness journey.

Right now we are popping up wherever someone is willing to host and organize! With more signups and interest, we hope to grow and expand to more dates and areas in the city.

Add yourself to the client waitlist here, and we will subscribe you to the mailing list:

We are seeking healing practitioners in milwaukee interested in volunteering a few hours of their time to a seasonal community health clinic focusing on serving our low income/trans/BIPOC siblings. This project is inspired by the community service work of the Black Panther Party of the 1960s.

This would be an unpaid but fun & easy opportunity to engage in mutual aid. Many folks are unable to engage with or be supported by alternative healing arts because it is not covered by health insurance and often quite expensive to receive care.

If you aren’t currently able to offer sliding scale in your practice, I encourage you to reach out and volunteer with us! We will be experimenting with Wednesdays a few times a year to start. We will be working in the bayveiw area with hopes of expanding to other times and areas if we are met with interest!

Types of practitioners we are looking for:

Acupuncturists
Massage therapists
Somatic therapists
FNTPs/Nutritionists
Tarot readers or Oracles
Plant workers or herbalists
Breathwork or meditation teachers
Energy workers or Reiki Masters
& more if you feel you qualify! please reach out.

More Ways to Get Involved:

Are you an artist, herbalist, gardener, forager or plant person who makes herbal preparations or zines about health and healing?

We are seeking donations of every day remedies, flower essences, and plant craft that soothe the mind and soul. Our participants would massively benefit from being able to browse a free apothecary during their visit. Please contact me familiarmke@gmail.com to donate or purchase something from our wishlist here. (While we aren’t fans of amazon this is the easiest way to share what kinds of things we are looking for)

We are also seeking more spaces to expand, ideally storefronts with private rooms/areas where practitioners and clients can meet.

If the form is not working, email me directly here.
